L’INFORMATION SUR LA TECHNOLOGIE EDUCATIVE

This paper deals with the problems of information about educational technology among teachers of foreign languages. It investigates the different definitions of educational technology as they appear explicitly in technological publications or implicitly among language teachers. The stress on the systems approach on the researcher’s part and the stress put on the use of individual ausio-visual aids by teachers demonstrate the difference in approach. In order to promote educational technology as a tool in language teaching, it is necessary for teachers and researchers to develop and acquire a common language. This paper gives a brief outline of a possible link between researchers and teachers through a publication "translating" educational technology information into language teachers’ terms. This publication would be free of access and would help teachers to find their way among the maze of papers, journals and publications dealing with educational technology.
