DEVENIR CONSEILLER : QUELS CHANGEMENTS POUR L’ENSEIGNANT ?

CARETTE, Emmanuelle / CASTILLO, Désirée

Those who are interested in advising learners are most often teachers. But teaching is quite different from advising, and this professional change is not easy. In order to help teachers understand what advising consists in, the authors describe and illustrate the differences between the speech acts of teachers and of advisers. First, they compare the settings in which teachers and advisers perform, considering their particular objectives. Then they underline the distinctions, basing their observations on recordings of teacher and adviser speech.
